Education – Further

Our relationship with the Further Education sector has developed over many years, culminating in our inclusion as cost managers on the recent Learning and Skills Council’s consultants’ framework for all three regions (Southern, Central and Northern) – an honour achieved by only three practices. We are also delivering project management, employer agent and CDM co-ordinator services on significant projects in the sector. The current rebuilding programme across the country has resulted in many schemes within the £50m to £100m range, which we are helping to deliver.

Further education covers a wider and more diverse range of curriculum areas than other education provisions. Common teaching space, learning resource centres and theatres sit alongside construction trades and motor vehicles maintenance facilities. There is also greater direct interaction with the general public through delivery of hair and beauty, travel and catering services, as well as adult education courses. This all dictates campus provision that is part college, part retail and part industrial – areas in which we have independent experience which is brought together in delivering the overall property strategy.
