We have over 100 technical team members at Robinson Low Francis, some of whom have over 40 years experience in the industry. A number of them have a hidden talent; they are not just great with numbers, they like to write too! With their input and that of our marketing and design teams, we are able to share their invaluable knowledge and industry insight in the form of communications such as our e-newsletters and client briefing notes.

We are always interested to hear your views; if you think we should cover a particular topic or would like to write something with us, email us at marketing@rlf.co.uk

Profile is our regular e-newsletter that covers anything from our latest project news, to our charitable contributions, to industry comment and analysis – basically anything we think might be of interest to our clients and contacts.  Please click here to see past issues.

IMPACT provides regular updates and practical information about sustainability and its integration with all aspects of construction and business development. Please click here to see past issues.

Welcome to the latest version of Profile. We are always striving for relevance with this literature together with a mixture of showcasing and being informative on industry issues facing us all.

In this edition, I believe we have managed to pull it off as the articles cover schools, housing, energy and sustainability, so enjoy the read and if you have any views or comments we are always pleased to see them.

Well, the election is over and the expected result has occurred. We will now enter a period of 'fiscal tightening of belts' but we should not be afraid of this, because world markets will be looking closely at us and expecting us to be acting in a prudent way for the lifetime of this parliament. The trick for Cameron and his new friend will be to avoid damaging strikes and unrest in the public sector when he aligns it with what the private sector has endured these past two years or so. If these two matters can be achieved then our triple A rating will be preserved and inward investment will continue which will fuel a period of sustainable growth in the medium to long term.

Finally, my thanks to Matt Kitson for his guest article on sustainable master planning and if you wish to have a guest slot in future publications, please make contact with Sam McMillen.
