RLF ANNIVERSARY HELPS RED BALLOON APPEAL

1st October 2008

Professionals from Birmingham’s property sector have raised more than £1,200 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital’s Red Balloon Appeal.

The money was raised during a special drinks reception to celebrate property and construction consultancy Robinson Low Francis’s (RLF) 50th anniversary in the city.

The event was attended by over 100 property professionals and took place at the University of Birmingham’s impressive Great Hall, a building on which RLF were part of a team that undertook its refurbishment in 2000.

Commenting on the fundraising total, Dave Harris, Managing Partner of the Birmingham Office, said:  “I am delighted we were able to use the occasion of our 50th anniversary in the city to raise money for this very worthy cause.

“While RLF has become an established part of the Birmingham property community over the last 50 years, the Children’s Hospital is truly at the heart of wider community, providing expert care to children and their families across the region and further afield”.

“We are confident the money will be put to excellent use by the cardiac unit of the hospital and we are delighted that we have been able to give something back to the City that has supported us so well over the last 50 years.”

RLF Birmingham has named the Red Balloon Appeal as the beneficiary of all fundraising activity taking place throughout its half-centenary year. Earlier in 2008, the firm donated 50 cot mobiles to the Appeal, which were distributed to four baby wards around the hospital.
