RLF APPOINTS BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

30th October 2008

Leading property and construction consultancy Robinson Low Francis (RLF) has appointed Ellie Hopley to the role of business development manager.

The creation of this new role follows the firm’s recent acquisition of a project management division. Ellie’s remit will include helping the team, which operates from seven regional offices around the UK, to work together to clarify targets for the future. She will also develop a plan to help make RLF recession-proof.

For eight years Ellie worked as business development manager for Whitbybird (now Ramboll Whitbybird) where she strengthened the marketing and business strategy to drive business into new markets. Ellie helped set up and develop the company’s first international office, in Dubai, and was fundamental in its successful placement on the BAA framework.

On her appointment, Ellie said: “RLF is a great company that is flourishing and winning business despite the credit crunch and has exciting prospects for the coming months. It also has a fantastic culture with friendly staff who have made me feel really welcome. ”

In between working with Whitbybird and RLF, Ellie became a personal trainer and long-distance runner, something she is keen to continue at RLF. She said: “Although I loved being a personal trainer, I also missed working in an office as part of a team. But I believe it’s important to get plenty of exercise outdoors when you’re working in an office all week, so I’ll be running in my lunch hour and trying to convince some of the team to join me.”
