Cash injection for transport infrastructure

London Garden bridge development approved by Boris Johnson

Boris Johnson’s office has given the go-ahead to the controversial £175million Garden Bridge development over the River Thames, claiming it will be ‘a stunning oasis of tranquillity in the heart of our city’.

After decisions were made by Lambeth and Westminster councillors to approve the scheme, the planning application was rubber-stamped earlier this month by Sir Edward Lister, Deputy Mayor of London.
