Coventry University Frederick Lanchester Building
RLF Birmingham has been appointed as Quantity Surveyor for the Coventry University Frederick Lanchester Building Library entrance.
This project will include a new feature library entrance with zinc cladding, large glazed entrance screens, the reconfiguration of the internal library area creating a new modern reception lobby and further study booths. The adjoining café will be refurbished as part of this development and incorporate up-to-date kitchen facilities, new furniture and modern decor.
The project will be logistically challenging and has been tendered on a two-stage design and build basis to enable early contractor advice and buildability. The project works will be carried out in two phases to enable the library to remain operational 24 hours a day.
