RLF sponsors an award at the BUAFTA’s 2019
RLF Birmingham were delighted to be invited to sponsor an award at the 12th annual BUAFTA’s.
The star studded evening held in the university’s great hall on Friday 15 Feb 2019, which highlights the outstanding acknowledgement, talent and commitment made by the University’s professional staff and internal teams who have made the University a world-leading centre of excellence.
With 1258 nominations for this year‘s awards, which included two brand new categories, one of which was ‘Apprentice of the Year’ which RLF were delighted to sponsor.
Paul Anderson, Partner (RLF Birmingham), presented the ‘Apprentice of the Year Award’ to Jade Willetts who joined the Environmental Services Team in Hospitality and Accommodation Services in September 2017.
For over 25 years, RLF Birmingham have worked closely with the University, providing Cost Consultancy and Principal Designer services on a number of projects across the University estate.
These projects include the University’s new School of Engineering, a new teaching and learning building and their new Molecular Sciences Building. RLF is also working on the refurbishment of the Grade 2-listed Exchange Building in Centenary Square, Birmingham to provide a new city centre location for the University.
The evening was compared by Jasper Carrott whose career has spanned over five decades, Jasper was awarded an OBE in 2003 with his most notable achievements including two gold albums, four silver discs and the sale of over 1.5 million books.
This year the BUAFTA’s supported vital research into fighting antibacterial resistance, a pressing problem facing modern medicine today.
