Supporting Charitable Organisations
RLF recognise that it is important to support charitable organisations, not everyone is as fortunate as us and as we have a team of 130+ members of staff we believe that we can really make a difference – and we enjoy doing so.
RLF donate cash to a variety of causes including:-
- Children in Need
- Jeans for Jeans Day
- Turn Blue
- Race for Life
- Royal British Legion
- The Lennox Trust (Children’s Cancer)
- The Stroke Association
- Wear in Pink
- Red Nose Day
RLF also sponsors the Institute of Cancer Research to whom we make regular donations as well as organising and taking part in fundraising events around the whole country including Dragon boat racing, sponsored walks, cycling and selling raffle tickets at networking events wherever possible.
For the past 5 years RLF have sponsored the annual Stevenage Community Trust quiz night which raises over £1500 on the night. The Trust has helped thousands of people in our local community with over £800,000 being distributed over the years to a wide range of beneficiaries including; sports and arts clubs, Olympic hopefuls, groups for the blind and the deaf, schools, toddler groups and after-school clubs, Scouts and Guides, clubs for widows and the over 60’s, the Women’s refuge, Age Concern, community centres, sheltered housing and emergency grants for individuals and families in crisis.
RLF allow staff to take time off work to take part in charity events, for example, a member of staff from our London office is about to trek around Peru in aid of Breast Cancer and a team of RLF staff successfully completed the Three Peaks Challenge in aid of a charity of their choice and RLF are happy to continue to support these initiatives going forward. Our offices also participate in annual charity triathlons and 5k runs in aid of The Samaritans.
Gifts in Kind
RLF donated 100 cot mobiles recently to the Birmingham Children’s Hospital as part of an initiative to help support our local community. We also sponsor the University of Birmingham’s Rugby Team and in the past we have bought various items of kit depending on their needs at the start of each season.
One of our Partners based in our Birmingham office provides assistance to St Mary’s Hospice in preparing grant applications enabling them to obtain funding for refurbishment works. This preliminary work is undertaken on a no charge basis and forms part of an ongoing arrangement with this client.
